Welcome to eKtab Ltd. (eKtab Ltd., along with its subsidiaries and affiliates shall be referred to as “eKtab”, “we”, or “us”).   Unless otherwise defined herein, capitalized terms shall have the meanings assigned to such terms in the eKtab Terms of Use, which you can view at [insert URL for Terms of Use].    
This Privacy Policy applies to all information collected from or about you by eKtab. Our goal in this document is to help you understand what information is collected from or about you, how this information is used and protected, and what options you have with regard to this information.

  2. “Personally Identifiable Information” means Information that is personally identifiable, such as names, addresses, e-mail addresses, shipping information, phone numbers, credit card numbers, and passwords, as well as other non-public information that is associated with the foregoing.
3.         Acceptance
We obtain and use Information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.  We will ask for your consent before using Personally Identifiable Information in a manner other than as set out in this Privacy Policy.
Information may be collected from all visitors to the Site, including visitors who do not use our Services.
4.         Non-Personally Identifiable Information
Non-Personally Identifiable Information may be collected, processed, and used in accordance with applicable law, for any and all purposes we deem fit, and may be disclosed to third parties.

(d)        Information obtained via technological means, such as “Cookies” (a small text file stored on your computer to record and collect information from and about you and your activity relating to and on the Site and the Services), web beacons, log files, clear GIFs, Flash technologies, and additional technologies, as well as information obtained through your use of mobile devices, including:
(i)         login information and your personal preferences for the Services;
(ii)        usage data, such as how often you visit the Site, where you go while visiting the Site, and what you do on the Site;
(iii)       your geographic location when visiting the Site; and
(iv)       information regarding e-mails sent to you, including whether emails we sent were opened and the technology used for accepting and reading such emails.
 While you may still be able to use certain aspects of the Site and the Services if you disable Cookies in your browser, certain parts of the Services may not function as effectively or altogether.  After you register, re-enable Cookies or other information-collecting technologies, or otherwise provide us with Information, we may associate information obtained in this manner with Personally Identifiable Information that we have collected from or about you.
We advise you to be aware that while some pieces of Information that you provide via the Site or the Services would not be individually sufficient for another user to identify you when seen without any context, the combination of different pieces of information that you have provided for viewing by other users, or any contextual information, may allow other users to identify you.
By using the Site and/or the Services you are hereby providing your consent (a) for our use of Cookies and all other technological and tracking means listed above, as well as other similar technological means, and (b) for the placement of such Cookies and other technological means in your computer, email, cloud-based and other technological systems.
6.         Use of Personally Identifiable Information We Collect
In general, Personally Identifiable Information you submit to us, or that is obtained by us, is used to create and manage your account, to provide you and other users with the Services, to respond to requests that you make, to improve our Services, to further new services or products, to communicate with you about our Site and Services, to provide you with notifications related to your use of the Services such as electronic newsletters or promotional e-mails, to bill you, and to operate, maintain, and improve the features, functionality, performance, and support of the Site and the Services.
We may use Cookies and log file information (a) to collect or store personal information, (b) to provide custom, personalized content and information; (c) to monitor the use of our Site; (d) to monitor aggregate metrics, such as total number of visitors; and (e) to track your use of our Site.

7.         Personally Identifiable Information You Share with Others
Certain Personally Identifiable Information you provide may be shared publicly on the website, such as you Username, date of joining eKtab, feedback, ratings, forum postings, profile information, comments, articles, and any and all other information which you post publicly on the site.  
During your use of the Site or the Services, you may share information with others.  Remember that when you share information with others, such information is no longer subject to this Privacy Policy.
Additionally, in certain instances depending on the type of transaction you carry out and the options you choose with regard to the purchase, processing, shipping or other details regarding a transaction, certain information, such as e-mail addresses, billing information, or shipping information, may be shared with other parties to the transaction.  Although our Terms of Use limit the use of such information by other parties to the transaction, we cannot (and do not) guaranty any other party’s compliance with or adherence to this Privacy Policy or the Terms of Use.  
8.         Disclosure of Personally Identifiable Information
Except as otherwise stated in this Privacy Policy, we will not disclose or share your Personally Identifiable Information with third parties, unless you ask or authorize us to do so.
We may provide your Personally Identifiable Information to business partners, third party service providers, and suppliers who work on our behalf (a) to provide you with some of the Services or features of the Services, (b) to help us communicate with our users, and (c) to help us with our business and informational needs.  However, we do not grant these business partners, service providers, and suppliers any independent right to use this information except to help us provide the Services or for our legitimate business interests or ventures.
We may share some or all of your Personally Identifiable Information with any parent company, subsidiaries, joint ventures, or other companies under common control (collectively, “Affiliates”), in which case we will require our Affiliates to honor this Privacy Policy.
We may make use of Personally Identifiable Information in the context of the advertisements with which you are presented.  Such use may be in coordination with our Affiliates, business partners, service providers or suppliers.  Cookies, web beacons and other technological means may be used for the purpose of presenting you with specific advertisements.  Furthermore, information may be collected regarding the types of ads you view, click on, or are interested in.
In the event eKtab goes through a business transition such as a merger, acquisition by another company, or sale of all or a portion of its assets, your Personally Identifiable Information will likely be among the assets transferred.  You acknowledge that such transfers may occur, and that any acquirer of eKtab, or a portion or all of its assets may continue to use your Personally Identifiable Information as set forth in this Privacy Policy.
We may (and you hereby authorize us to) disclose Personally Identifiable Information we have collected from and about you if we believe in good faith that such disclosure is necessary (a) to comply with relevant laws or to respond to subpoenas or warrants served on us; (b) to enforce our eKtab Terms of Use and Privacy Policy; or (c) to protect and defend the rights or property of eKtab, eKtab’s business partners, service providers, suppliers, Affiliates, the users of our Services, or other third parties.
9.         Communication Regarding Personally Identifiable Information
By using the Site or the Services you consent to receive from eKtab newsletters, promotional offers and other communications (whether for our products or on behalf of third parties). To unsubscribe to these communications you will be required to click an "Unsubscribe" link in these emails and confirm the email address for which you would like to unsubscribe. Furthermore, you consent to receive from eKtab service-related announcements which we may send you from time to time.
In the event that you wish to terminate your account and delete Personally Identifiable Information currently held by eKtab in our active databases, you may send us an email with your request.  Termination of your account may involve deletion of various aspects of your Information, including your account information, from our live databases.  eKtab will not have, and you hereby specifically absolve eKtab from, any liability whatsoever to you for the termination of your account or the deletion of any Information.
Please be aware that Personally Identifiable Information that we have deleted from our active databases may still remain in our archives.
You may access and in certain instances request to change certain Personally Identifiable Information which you have provided to us.
10.       Links to Other Websites and Third Party Applications
The Site and/or the Services may contain links to other websites that are not owned or controlled by eKtab.  No endorsement or recommendation of any such websites or the content contained therein is made or intended by eKtab as a result of the provision of such links.  Furthermore, we are not responsible for any third party applications which you may download or use, whether or not you were directed to such third party applications via the Site or the Services, and whether or not such third party applications were downloaded in the context of your use of the Site or the Services.  eKtab has no control over, does not review, and is not responsible for, the privacy policies or content displayed on such other websites or with regard to such third party applications.  Please be aware that the terms of our Privacy Policy do not apply to any outside websites, services, or applications.
11.       Advertisers and Third Party Products or Services
The Site and/or the Services may include advertisements placed there by advertisers as well as links for third party products or services.  Clicking on such advertisements or links will direct you to the website of a third party.  Cookies, web beacons, web bugs or other technological or tracking means may be used by advertisers or other third parties in connection with such advertisements, links, and third party websites. The collection of any and all information by these advertisers and third-parties through the use of Cookies, web beacons, or any other means is not covered by this Privacy Policy.  We provide no warranty or representation regarding such advertisers’ or third parties’ use of any information obtained by them through your clicking on such advertisements or links, or your activity  on such third party websites. For information about our advertising partners or any third parties linked to our website, please visit their websites or otherwise obtain information about them.
12.       Privacy of Minors
We do not intentionally collect or maintain Personally Identifiable Information from those visitors and users of the Services who are under 13 years old, unless such minor is using the Site or Services in conjunction with and under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian who is at least 18 years of age  In such case, the adult is the user and is responsible for any and all activities, as well as any and all information provided.

eKtab has put in place commercially reasonable procedures to safeguard and secure the Personally Identifiable Information we collect online.  However, even with these measures, we cannot guarantee the security of Personally Identifiable Information.  By using our Site or Services, you acknowledge and agree that we make no such guaranty, and that your use of our Site and Services is at your own risk.
14.       Changes to this Privacy Statement
We may change this Privacy Policy at any time by posting a new version on this page or on a successor page.  The new version will become effective on the date it is posted, which date will be listed at the top of the page.
We reserve the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time, so please review it frequently.
